Chulu east peak is popular trekking peaks in Annapurna region. This is basically a trek around Annapurna peaks with an ascent of a technically straightforward peak, Chulu East at 6584 meter. Situated high above the Manang valley the summit of Chulu east offers a breathtaking view of Annapurna , Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri , Tilicho and Manaslu peaks. Starting the trek from Besi Sahar after a 6-7 hrs drive from Kathmandu , the trail ascends gradually along the Marshyangdi river valley and eventually leads to the village of Pisang where we leave the main trail and head up the Chulu East base camp. Fully fit and acclimatized, we then attempt Chulu east. Following an ascent we rejoining the main trail and head towards Kali Gandaki valley cross.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel & welcome dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and prepare for trekking and climbing.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Khudi-823m
Day 04: Trek to Ghermu Phant-( 7 hr)
Day 05: Trek to Tal- (approx. 6 hr)
Day 06: Trek to Chame-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 07: Trek to Pisang
Day 08: Trek to Hongde- 3300m (approx. 4 hr)
Day 09: Acclimatization day (you can do some excursion trip going about 4000m and come down which would be the good acclimatization)
Day 10: Trek to Chulu base camp-3910m
Day 11: Trek to High camp 4955m
Day 12: High Camp 4955m (if well acclimatized, you can attempt the summit. If not, rest at the high camp for the next day)
Day 13: Base Camp-3910m (weather permitting, you'll make the summit ascent this day and return to base camp
Day 14: Trek to Manang
Day 15: Trek to Yak Kharka
Day 16: Trek to Throungla high camp
Day 17: Trek to Muktinath crossing over the Thorung La-5416m (8-9 hr)
Day 18: Trek to Jomsom-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 19: flight to Pokhara
Day 20: By bus or flight back to kathmandu.
Day 21: Kathmandu Shopping and farewell dinner.
Day 22: Back to onward destination.
