As a long time now - about 10 years - I´m using the very good and perfect organization for my Nepaltours from Mr. Tej Panta. And in all this times - and he has organized and guided many groups for me in different areas of Nepal - we have worked together in a perfect partnership. Tej Panta is a very kindly, experienced and trustworthy guide. So it is recommendable to do the treks in Nepal together with this nice guy with his great empathy for all his clients.

With compliments from Peter Christmann (Management director of a German Travel company)

I would like to introduce the guide from our trip to Nepal . His name is Tej Panta and he is an excellent guide that knows his way around the mountains. He took very good care of us on our trip to Annapurna . He is very patient and honest. He speaks and writes English fluently and has a great way to work with people. We felt very well taken care of by him and can recommend him as a guide wholeheartedly.

Report about the Annapurna trecking with the guide Sherpa Tej Panta

I am a german physician, 51 years old, father of four children. I walked the Annapurna treck twice, in October 2005 and in April 2007. Both times it was an extraordinary experience. I am in a good physical condition, but not trained in climbing. That was not necessary. Our trecking group spent the nights in cottages and hostels with simple rooms and beds and a good food standard. Of course it depends on the altitude, where you just are. In the high mountain area the conditions are more simple. The walking is an excellent opportunity to get in contact with the Nepal people, their culture and agriculture as well as the nature and flora. During the trecking you will experience very different landscapes, ethnic groups of native people and biospheres, what dependents on the geographical conditions, especially the degree of rain or other water resources. And by walking the path for about one week the altitude becomes higher and higher up to the Thorong La pass in 5400 m. By that your body can fit to the change of physical conditions of the high altitude, to avoid high sickness. Enough time for the acclimatisation process. And all this was accompanied very brave and with a great responsibility and competence by our Sherpa Tej Panta. He arranged everything, what was necessary. You can ask him all the time and he answered patiently in good English. He explained the culture, especially all questions about the history of Nepal and the religion of Hinduism and Buddhism. He prepared the walk carefully and with much experience. He learned this from his farther, who already is a Sherpa accompanying groups.

I can affirm that I am full satisfied with that marvellous adventure of walking in the Himalaya , on the top of the world. And that I could feel myself enough secure and sheltered during the walk is the result of the good guidance of the Sherpa Tej Panta. That was the reason for me to do the same trecking route a second time, and also to see Tej again. So I say to you: try it yourself!

Good luck

Dear people,

Well, yes, I can truly recommend a trip through parts of Nepal under the leadership of Tej Panta. I think he has a great ability to get you to know the background of Nepalese culture and he does this with a great sensibility towards both, the people from Nepal as well as Europeans. He is ready to tell you lots of facts and stories about Nepal and its people but he does not overdo the information. It is also up to you to ask more and to show interest. I also want to point out that he takes great care for the health and wellbeing of people of his trek. He explains well about risks and looks after people who might have overestimated their own fitness. When I was on a trek with him and Peter Christmann we had one such person and there was always someone taking care. Finally, for all those who have not yet been to Nepal I think it is a good idea to start with a trek to Langtang Region. It is an ideal mixture of natural beauty, cultural stuff and a good walk. Enjoy your trip!
